Haaland to Barcelona? Agent Finally Speaks Out After Secret Meeting With Man City Executives

Haaland’s Agent Responds to Barcelona Transfer Rumours After Reports of Secret Talks

Speculation linking Erling Haaland with a potential future move to FC Barcelona has once again ignited debate among football fans. However, the striker’s agent has now stepped forward to clarify the situation and pour cold water on the growing rumours.

Earlier reports suggested that Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font had initiated efforts to secure a special agreement with Manchester City that would give the Catalan club a preferential option to sign Haaland in the future.

According to those reports, members of Font’s team allegedly held a meeting in Madrid with senior Manchester City executives, including sporting director Hugo Viana and CEO Ferran Soriano. The aim of the meeting was reportedly to explore the possibility of placing Barcelona in a favorable position should Haaland become available down the line.

The Norwegian striker has long been admired by Barcelona supporters and officials alike. Since emerging as one of the most lethal forwards in world football, the prolific goal scorer has frequently been linked with a move to Spain, particularly to Camp Nou.

However, Haaland’s representative, Rafaela Pimenta, has now strongly dismissed claims that any Barcelona presidential candidate has made direct contact regarding a transfer.

Speaking during an interview with El Chiringuito, Pimenta made it clear that neither she nor the player has been approached by Barcelona officials.

She emphasized that while there is great respect for Barcelona as a historic club, no discussions about Haaland have taken place with the Spanish giants or any candidate involved in the club’s presidential race.

According to Pimenta, the situation is quite straightforward: Haaland recently committed his long-term future to Manchester City and remains extremely satisfied with life at the club.

The Norwegian forward signed a new contract with the Premier League champions not long ago, extending his stay at the Etihad Stadium until 2034. Because of that lengthy agreement and the player’s current happiness in England, Pimenta insisted that there is simply no reason to talk about a transfer right now.

She explained that Haaland is enjoying his football, performing at a high level, and thriving in the environment Manchester City has built around him.

Meanwhile, Victor Font himself has also addressed the rumours. While acknowledging Haaland’s immense quality, the Barcelona presidential hopeful admitted that bringing the striker to Camp Nou in the immediate future would be extremely difficult.

Font described Haaland as one of the best centre-forwards in the world but pointed out that the player’s recently renewed long-term contract makes any short-term move unrealistic.

Despite that, Font did leave the door open for a potential future scenario. He suggested that long contracts in football are rarely completed in full and that clubs must always stay prepared for opportunities involving world-class talent.

Font also referenced previous comments from Haaland in which the striker reportedly expressed admiration for Spain and the famous Camp Nou stadium.

For now, however, the situation appears clear. Haaland remains firmly committed to Manchester City, and according to his agent, there are no ongoing discussions about a move to Barcelona.

Still, in the unpredictable world of football transfers, fans know that circumstances can change quickly — and the Haaland-to-Barcelona dream may continue to fuel speculation for years to come. ⚽
