Dani Olmo Has No Intention of Leaving Barcelona Despite Bayern Munich Interest

Dani Olmo has no intention of leaving Barcelona despite renewed interest from Bayern Munich, with the Spanish playmaker fully focused on continuing his career at the Spotify Camp Nou.

The 28-year-old has established himself as an important part of both Barcelona and the Spanish national team, and his recent performances have once again attracted attention from clubs across Europe.

Bayern Munich are among those keeping a close eye on the midfielder, having admired Olmo since his successful spell with RB Leipzig.

Reports have even suggested that the Bundesliga champions could consider making a major offer for the Barcelona star during the January transfer window.

Barcelona Have No Plans to Sell Olmo

According to MARCA, however, Bayern could face a major problem if they decide to make their interest official.

Any proposal for Olmo is unlikely to be considered because the player himself has no desire to leave Barcelona, while the Catalan club have no intention of selling him.

Olmo remains highly valued by Hansi Flick and Barcelona's sporting department because of his technical quality, creativity and versatility.

He can operate as an attacking midfielder, play from either flank or contribute further forward when required, giving Flick another important tactical option.

Since joining Barcelona, Olmo has continued to demonstrate the qualities that made him such a highly rated player during his time at Dinamo Zagreb and RB Leipzig.

He has already recorded 96 appearances, 20 goals and 20 assists for the Catalan giants.

Bayern Have Admired Him for Years

Bayern's interest in Olmo is hardly new.

The German giants followed the midfielder closely during his time at RB Leipzig and previously explored the possibility of bringing him to Munich.

His performances for Barcelona and Spain have only strengthened that admiration.

However, the situation currently appears straightforward: Olmo is under contract with Barcelona until June 2030, and neither he nor the club is actively considering a separation.

That leaves Bayern with a difficult task if they want to change the midfielder's mind.

Olmo Happy Despite Competition

Olmo has shared attacking midfield responsibilities with Fermín López this season and has featured in all eight of Barcelona's matches so far — seven in La Liga and one in the Champions League.

He has not been an automatic starter in every game, but that has not changed his desire to remain at the club.

For Olmo, the objective is clear: continue competing for trophies with Barcelona and establish himself as an important figure in Flick's project.

With a long-term contract and no desire to leave, Bayern Munich may have to look elsewhere.

For now, Dani Olmo is staying at Barcelona.
