Anthony Gordon Returns to Barcelona in Red-Hot Form After Stunning England Break
Barcelona will soon return to club action following the international break, with Getafe awaiting them next weekend.
The Catalan giants have largely avoided major injury problems during the break, with Raphinha's recent scare proving to be nothing serious.
There has also been plenty of positive news on the performance front, particularly involving one of Barcelona's summer arrivals.
Anthony Gordon is heading back to Catalonia in exceptional form.
Gordon Finishes International Break in Style
Gordon produced another outstanding performance for England as the Three Lions demolished Croatia 7-0 in Rijeka.
The Barcelona winger scored once and provided an assist as England produced a dominant display, with Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka both scoring twice while Jude Bellingham and Morgan Rogers also found the net.
For Gordon, the performance continued an extraordinary international break.
The 25-year-old has now scored in each of England's three matches during the current window, finding the net against Czechia, Spain and Croatia.
His contribution against Croatia was particularly impressive.
Gordon produced excellent control and a sharp turn before creating the opportunity for Bellingham, demonstrating the confidence and attacking quality he has developed during his recent run of form.
His overall numbers for England have been remarkable too.
Gordon has now been directly involved in eight goals across his last seven appearances for the national team, highlighting just how dangerous he has become in the final third.

A Major Boost for Hansi Flick
Gordon's international performances will be particularly encouraging for Barcelona manager Hansi Flick.
The Englishman has already settled quickly into life at Camp Nou, providing four assists in La Liga and becoming an important part of Flick's attacking structure.
There is, however, one obvious milestone still missing from his Barcelona record: his first goal in the Blaugrana shirt.
After his spectacular scoring run with England, Gordon will be eager to end that wait as soon as possible when domestic football resumes.
For Flick, having Gordon return with so much confidence is an enormous positive.
Barcelona already have several dangerous attacking options, including Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Fermín López. Adding an in-form Gordon to that group gives Flick even greater depth and variety in attack.
Gordon Could Be Ready for His Barcelona Breakthrough
Barcelona currently sit at the top of La Liga, and Gordon's return in such impressive form could make their attack even more difficult for opponents to contain.
His adaptation to Spanish football has already been encouraging, but his latest performances for England suggest the former Newcastle winger may be entering another level of his development.
The challenge now is to transfer that international confidence directly onto the Camp Nou pitch.
If Gordon can reproduce even part of the form he has shown for England, his first Barcelona goal may not be far away.
And with a demanding run of fixtures approaching, Flick will certainly welcome having one of his new attacking weapons returning at the perfect time.
